The other day I found myself sinking into a bit of a dip and beginning to entertain the idea of a self piteous afternoon. Suddenly I realised to how much a part of this feeling I was contributing. I stopped, observed my thoughts and steered away from the negativity. Deciding not to allow this feeling to dominate my afternoon, was empowering. It showed me I can change the way Im thinking and feeling, and therefore behaving. 
What a relief!
