Posted by LP User on Thursday, November 29, 2018,

I sometimes come home after a day in my shared private practice just marveling at the variety of ...

Working in the Recovery field can be incredibly uplifting but it is so importnat o to take care of yourself.

Supervision/ seeking support is a MUST.

Treatment for Social Anxiety Disorder (as with other Anxiety Disorders) often involves CBT and medication. Whilst both can be beneficial, concentrating on an integrated recovery approach is helplful too- physical, mental, spiritual, environmental, social/ behavioral and emotional pieces of the pie. Ask yourself daily: how did I manage each piece of the pie and journal it.

Trauma recovery

Codependents' enabling acts: helping or harming?

Posted by LP User on Sunday, March 24, 2013, In : codependency
Seeing another person suffer can be challenging- if you're a codependent (caretaker/ rescuer/ fixer/ people pleaser...) this will be particularly difficult.
