This is a very good video clip about the importance of self regulating, "going slowly" in TRE.

For the last few months a friend of mine (yoga teacher) and I have been meeting weekly for an hour of yoga followed by an hour of tre. This has been a wonderful process of release and deep relaxation.
Through the process of hatha yoga my muscles would become fatigued, thus allowing the physical fatigue tremors to follow on naturally. Trauma comes in many forms and yet the therapeutic treatment is basically the same. Trauma is stored in the more primitive, old part of the brain where language does not exist, thus rational processing is impossible at this stage. Releasing the flight/ flight/ freeze chemicals first is often the best way to treat trauma.
